I am interested in understanding how organ shape and size is regulated by different cellular and molecular behaviors in embryonic development. I use tooth as a model system to study how gene regulatory networks combine different signaling molecules into a robust transcriptional profile during organogenesis. My research will provide information about what is the ‘core set’ of genes required for tooth shape development, and will help to understand the developmental regulation of complex traits. I joined Professor Jukka Jernvall Evo-Devo Group in 2019.
